About Me
He holds a doctorate degree in Biochemistry from the University of Ilorin. His research interests are in the mechanism of chemopreventive potentials of bioactive agents/naturally occurring substances in infectious diseases and diseases caused by free radicals and oxidative stress in different pathological conditions. Moreover, his research interest focuses on bioactive agents that have the potential to induce or inhibit mitochondrial membrane permeability transition pore opening and its application in drug development useful in situations of dysregulated apoptosis. He was a CONICET Postdoctoral Fellow at INICSA, Enríque Barros Pabellón Biología Celular, Institute of Health Sciences Research, National University of Cordoba, Argentina and also at the Medicinal and Computational Chemistry Research Unit, Department of Chemistry, Rhodes University, South Africa. He is an active reviewer to over 20 international peer-reviewed journals and has to his credit several articles published in International and National Journals.
