🔬 Welcome to the FASBMB Educational Workshop 2025
In the rapidly evolving landscape of science and innovation, Africa stands at a pivotal moment to redefine its approach to biochemistry and molecular biology education. The 2025 International Workshop, hosted by the Nigerian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (NSBMB) in collaboration with the Federation of African Societies of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (FASBMB) and the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB), aims to catalyse this transformation.
With the theme “Redefining the Future of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Education in Africa through Advanced Technology and Automation,” the workshop brings together thought leaders, researchers, educators, and emerging scientists from across the globe. The goal is to explore how cutting-edge tools such as bioinformatics, single-cell genomics, molecular diagnostics, and automated research platforms can revolutionise the way biochemistry is taught, learnt, and applied across the continent.
This workshop is not only a platform for scientific exchange but also a launchpad for educational reform, research innovation, and collaborative growth. Through a combination of expert presentations, hands-on training, and interdisciplinary dialogue, participants will gain the skills, insights, and networks needed to drive Africa’s scientific advancement in a data-driven and technology-enabled world.
